I am a lifelong fiber artist and educator living with my husband and three teens in Santa Cruz, California. I design a variety of knitted objects with a special love for shawls and wraps and enjoy working with simple shapes and unique design features. I offer private lessons and classes ranging from introductory knitting classes to classes on lace shawl design. I also work as a consultant to other knit and crochet instructors on designing classes and handouts for effective instruction.
In my “day job,” I have been an elementary classroom teacher since 1994 and have worked with teachers developing curriculum and assessment since 1997. I have a current California teaching credential and a certificate for teaching adult learners.
I also work with hand cranked circular sock machines as well as flat bed knitting machines and I weave and spin!
My patterns are available through a variety of sources.
